Roller Hockey Equipment FAQs

Is there more than one type of roller hockey?

Yes, there is inline roller hockey and quad roller hockey. They differ in equipment, rules and rink surfaces. Inline roller hockey resembles traditional ice hockey a little more closely than quad roller hockey. Inline roller hockey uses inline skates, while quad roller hockey uses roller skates with four wheels per skate.

Is it wise to purchase roller hockey equipment online?

Yes – you can often save money by purchasing form online vendors. Be sure that you only purchase from reputable online stores, use a secure checkout and have a satisfaction guarantee. If the gear you purchase does not fit properly, you will need to be able to easily return it for an exchange or refund. One good idea is to try on the gear at a local store, make note of what fits and then search for that brand, model and style online for less money.

My roller hockey blade takes quite a beating, but my stick is still in good shape. Can I replace one without replacing the other?

Yes, you can easily find replacement blades for a roller hockey stick. Just search under replacement blades online and several reputable vendors will ship you blades. Again, it is a good idea to know what you want before you order, as there are several variations available.
